Hello all! I'm getting really tired of this weather...it's 30 degrees one day or alot of days and gloomy and dark and rainy or snowy and the next its sunny and bright and close to 60...I am so over this winter weather....US TEXAS PEOPLE LIKE TO SEE SNOW ONE TIME AND WE LIKE TO SEE IT AROUND CHRISTMAS TIME AND THEN WE ARE OVER IT AND READY FOR SUMMER...or that's how I feel anyways!!! This is Karlea and Aniston, we went to hs in Lancaster with her dad, Matt Bragg, their family came over last Saturday to Shel's to watch the Cowboy game. The twins could NOT wait to sit with Santa, I was a little leary considering all the big boys still really won't sit with him, Klayton will but said he didn't do it this time because he was too big and Shelly's boys would NOT even go near him! Karlea jumped right into his lap and Karson was right behind her. We waited for 2 hours in line so I was happy that they jumped right up in his lap! Do I have Texas kids or what.....Karson asked him for a machine gun and Karlea asked him for a pony!!! They even got to sit with Mrs. Claus!

Presents just seem to keep getting added more and more everyday....Karlea can hardly wait to open them, she asks everyday, Is it Christmas yet, I just really want to open my presents!

Shel and I went out with the kids last Friday for a day of shopping and lunch, this was before we left!

Not sure what Jack is praying or hoping for..lol. This is when we had Klayton his bday party at the house! Shane came home the Tuesday before Thanksgiving because he wasn't coming home for Thanksgiving so we did his birthday and Thanksgiving for him Tuesday night. This is Matt, one of Shane's roommates. The one Shane went to Germany with last Christmas! He is a very nice kid and the twins LOVE him as you will see in every picture they are with Matt!

So It's been over a month since I have posted....we have BEEN crazy busy with Klayton and his football! His Titans team won City Championship and then Klayton made the All Star team which is made up of all the best players from all the teams. We had two all star tournaments we were in, one in Humble Texas and one in Sachse Texas. We got 3rd in the Humble tournament and 1rst in the Sachse tournament, no one scored on us all three games of the Sachse tourney, we scored 92 points all three games combined, Klayton played excellent!! He plays defensive end and middle linebacker and he is just so good, makes me sad he doesn't want to play next year! I LOVE WATCHING HIM! We had alot of fun this season BUT this past weekend wrapped it all up! We will have a little breather now thru the holidays and then basketball starts in Jan. I got strep throat last week and can't remember the last time I was that sick, went to the doctor and got some BIG antibiotic shot that HURT so bad and then sent home with a z-pack, pain pills, and gargle stuff for my throat! I felt terrible tuesday thru friday, the first day I was almost back to 100 percent was saturday! I feel great now! I have gotten out of my exercise routine since Thanksgiving with going out of town for the All Star stuff and me getting sick! I'm trying to start it back up today but the high today is 46, NOT exactly the kind of weather that puts you in the mood to exercise, all I want to do is snuggle with the twinkies and watch a movie and make homemade chili! Everyone has been healthy for the most part, other than my strep! Ben has sinus stuff going on off and on all the time, the twins both have bad coughs right now, I'm hoping it doesn't turn into anything else, and Klayton has been pretty healthy, he did get sick a couple of times through football season but it was just viral infections! MY COWBOYS are upsetting me right now, started out December exactly like all the NON cowboy fans said they would, the only way we are going to shut people up is proving them wrong and right now we are playing right into their hand! I do have faith we can get it together by our next game and end December with a winning record and glide straight into the playoffs without a problem! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH THIS EVENING. The twins & I got out there about 445 or so and my mom met us out there when she got off work. Klayton had football practice but he is going to a haunted house birthday party on Sunday so I though that should make up for not getting to go to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time tonight with my cousin Gidget and uncle Jeff, they helped the kiddos carve pumpkins! I HAD to go get Karlea some new shoes and boots last night and some winter clothes...she had nothing that fit her...Karson has more than enough stuff but she had nothing. This is the difference between boys and girls.. this morning Karlea saw the stack of clothes and she said, "I like those clothes because they look like mine, can I try them on?" She tried on every single outfit with shoes/boots and had to go show the boys every time she put on a new outfit. If they had been Karson or Klayton they would have been whining the whole times saying, "are we done yet, no more!" Here are some pics of my little model girl!! Karlea and I LOVE her new little Twinkle Toes Sketchers! This kind of stuff is right up our alley:)

This is where Karlea fell asleep today and slept the whole time for her nap.

This would be Klayton's first 3rd grade report card which just happens to be straight A's SSOO he has now had straight A's (or the equivalent of) since he has started kindergarten through now! SO VERY PROUD OF HIM!

THANK GOODNESS....I am now a mommy of 3 kids that are all OUT of diapers...Karson has done such a great job...he has been in underwear since Tuesday and only had 2 accidents!

Klayton had his biggest game of the season tonight. It was against the panthers, we needed to beat them to straight up in first. They are in our division and we each have 1 loss...wellllll the panthers now have 2 losses because THE TITANS beat them 14-8...man was it a good game! Here are some pictures from the game! Yes, this time it was Karson that said something that made me laugh! I was changing yet another diaper of his and I told him "If you don't start going on the potty, mommy is shippin you off to potty school and you won't get to see us for a while", immediately back he responds, "Quit playin mommy Symonds", I said, "I'm not playing", to which he takes a deep breath and real nonchalantly says, "Daddy would come get me"! And the truth is Daddy probably would go get him! Little toot, he's going to think quit playin when mommy Symonds really does ship him off! I thought that was pretty cute and thought I would share! I'm so tired of rainy, dreary, yucky weather. I think it has rained here for the past week and I am ready to see the sun again! Excited for this weekend..Nan-Nan is taking Princess Karlea girl to get fairy princess pictures taken and Karson is going to for some pics, Klayton has a football game on Saturday morning, Nan-Nan is going to watch all the kiddos for us Saturday night so Shel, Josh, Ben, and I can go out for the Tech vs. Texas game, and then for the grand finale.... He started off the season with a pretty good game. We won 14-0 against one of the best teams we will play.

I wanted to start off with this picture and say a few words. This is Grayson, my cousin Will and his wife Kari's, little boy. He is in first grade. He was at his grandma's house and was next door playing and their pitt bull attacked him. These dogs should be banned and no one should be able to have these dogs as pets. I mean how ridiculous is it that a little innocent boy went through what he went through because someone wanted a pitt bull, which are known to be violent?? And the best possible scenario came out of this even though you look at this picture and think...best possible scenario?? He is alive and expected to be able to use his eye again. He will forever have memories of what happened, he already won't look at his face in the mirror and doesn't want to talk about what happened. And then I hear Michael Vick got a standing ovation last night!!! Are you kidding me?? FOR WHAT??? They should have put Grayson's picture on the jumbo tron when they announced him and then see what the fans think about big bad Vick....coward, pathetic, waste of time, trash...are just a few words that come to mind when I think about Vick! Anyways, Grayson, I hope you feel better real soon and we will continue to pray for as painless and fast recovery as possible....WE LOVE YOU! I have been looking for some boots that you wear with blue jean skirts, like I want to wear my blue jean skirt and a cute dallas cowboy shirt to the cowboy/giant game with some boots. I have been looking everywhere and either they were too expensive or they didn't look tall enough BUT I finally found me some last night and I can't wait to get them. Here is a pic of them.

This is a picture of Karlea after we had our little stroller accident. Shelly and I decided to go walking Tuesday when I had to go over that way to take Karlea to the doctors but I didn't have my jogging stroller so I just used the little twin one that I got when the twins were first born, it has little wheels on it and is not a good stroller to go jogging/walking with. We walk pretty fast and I'm not looking at the ground and apparently we come up to a part of the sidewalk that is uneven, when the strollers wheel hit it instead of rolling over them like big wheels on a jogging stroller would have done, it just stopped, well with my momentum I couldn't stop so the stroller flip face forward to the ground throwing the twins to the ground face first and pinning them underneath it, I continue to go forward as well flipping ontop of the stroller where my foot gets caught in the wheel, so no matter how hard and how fast I try to get the stroller off the twins because they are screaming and crying I can't, Shelly runs over and help me get un-stuck and we hurry and get the stroller off the twins only to find Karson fine and just scared but Karlea had blood all over her face. She busted her top and bottom lip and skinned up her chin and under nose and everything was swollen. I felt so bad for her and if you ask her about it now...BOY does she have a story to tell ya!! Right after it all happened a black suburban races up besides us and rolls down her window and said she saw the whole thing and did we need help back to our house...I'm sure that was a site to see! Anyways, here is a picture of Karlea after we got back to the house that day, it actually looked alot worse the next day but is finally healing and going away!

Klayton's 2nd day of third grade. He loves it so far and hasn't complained about school YET, I think all he thinks and worries and stresses about is football right now, although, I think that is getting better too. He sees after he is finally in shape and he plays to his potential every single play he is really good and then thinks it's kind of fun!

Since starting football, he eats so much less, and looks to have lost weight. Every morning I ask him what he wants for breakfast and he tells me nothing but I make him eat something so he settles for a bowl of cereal which he take about 5 bites of and then is done!

My palm tree out front is finally growing, like where I can tell it is. And looks really healthy right now so I wanted to take a picture of it.

I think my Uncle Jim is giving me some help from up above. I think he saw I wasn't having any luck and decided to give in and help me out. Thank you Uncle Jim...we love and miss you everyday:)

Klayton's 3rd day of third grade. He asked me why I take a picture of him every single morning? And I said because I'm your mommy and I just can. And he said I really hope we aren't going to do this every morning til the last day...lol...I said no just the first week! You can tell he wasn't very happen this morning to take this picture.

Shelly and Josh left Thursday at about 445 a.m. to head to Santa Monica California for a couple days before school and sports starts which means I have had the brady bunch since then. Thank goodness I don't have 6 kids all the time, I would lose my mind! We have had fun but we are all looking forward to Shelly and Josh coming home. Here are some pics from this morning!

I thought about just leaving these 3 in here all day til Shell and Josh made it back but then I thought I might be in trouble if any of the kids (Karlea tells everything to everyone) should happen to leak out that her, bubba, and the chubster had to stay in the chubsters baby bed all day......then I decided it's the last day so I let them out and got everyone dressed and ready for the day! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Ben's Grandpa Webb passed away Wednesday evening. If you click on the link below it will take you to a picture of him and you can also read his obituary. Ben is having a hard time right now....Ben was very close to his grandfather. Ben doesn't deal with the whole funeral/death thing very well, not sure who does, but after talking with his dad, mom, and grandmother has decided not to attend the funeral. He did write a few things for his dad to say on his behalf. Please keep, Ben, Grammy, Grampy, Rachel, and GG (his grandmother), and the rest of the family in your prayers as they are going through a very difficult time right now.

Here is what Ben wrote for his dad to say on his behalf at the funeral:

Grandpa Webb meant more to me than I have the words for. He taught me many things before the age of 12 that few men would have the patience or courage to do. Like driving a bulldozer, operating a backhoe, or driving an 18 wheeler (I was only steering). One thing he didn’t have the patience with me for was driving his standard transmission pick up. When I was 8 Grandpa let me drive his pick up around the lumber by myself after about a 10-minute tutorial on shifting. I drove around in first gear for about 30-minutes before he came out of the office flagged me down and said “There are 4 other gears you can use, why don’t you try them so we don’t spend the afternoon trying to get my transmission fixed.” So, I pulled back out and experimented shifting through the gears and realized I can go faster in higher gears. After a time or two jumping the railroad tracks the truck slipped out of gear on a steep incline and I started rolling backwards. My 8 years of life experience limited my options to avoid catastrophe so I stomped on the brake and skidded to a stop. I sat there for a few minutes and started honking the horn in what I thought was Morse code for S.O.S. AT that moment for the first and last time in my life I saw Grandpa come as close to running as I can remember. When he got to the driver side window he said well, your smarter than I thought you were and put the truck in park. On the quieter than normal ride back to the office I asked Grandpa “Did you hear the Morse code when I was honking and the only answer I got was his always big grin and his rare loud belly laugh. I won’t share the sequel to this memory, but I will tell you the next Saturday morning Grandpa picked me up in a new truck. When I asked why he got a new truck he said “I decided you were tough enough on my transmission I needed an automatic that was a little sturdier since you managed to beat the hell out of the damn shocks”.
Grandpa taught me the value of a good pocketknife and how to use it for things not necessarily promoted by the manufacturer. A few of these were trimming your finger nails and performing minor surgery to remove anything that might have found their way into your arms at the lumber yard. Grandpa gave me my first swig of beer to prove that the “tang” of a cold beer quenches thirst better than a cold soda that’s too sweet and was full of sugar. He showed me, which firehouses in Chenango County had the best Sausage Gravy at their pancake breakfasts, and how to space breakfast and brunch so you can still be home in time for lunch. Grandpa taught me that it’s not a bad thing to not be talkative because it limits the opportunities to say something dumb.
I’ve heard many stories of Grandpa’s strength and witnessed many of them myself. My dad will tell you when he first met Grandpa, that Grandpa was tossing 4 X 4 picnic tables on a flat bed by himself. I remember him carrying logs. I’ve heard he once broke up a fight between two grown men in the saw mill by picking each man up by the scruff of their necks and throwing them in the yard and telling them to “stay out there where you won’t get hurt.” Finally, I remember the one time I behaved in a manor that I required some discipline. Grandpa simply pinched the small hairs on the back of my head and lifted me off the ground and that’s when I knew Grandpa had my best interests in mind at all times.
As I grew up and Grandpa got older I occasionally would get a call from Grandma asking me to come help Grandpa move some things around. He never liked me helping do things he could always do with ease, but each time he got more a more comfortable with it. One of my most memorable conversations with Grandpa happened when I was 17. Grandpa and I were moving something of considerable size and weight and having a conversation about schoolwork. When we finished I realized I must have been taking more of the weight than Grandpa was because he was looking at me funny. To say Grandpa was a man of few words would be an understatement, but I will remember what he told me at that moment for the rest of my life. Grandpa, while looking at my in a strange way said “You may grow to be stronger than me, bigger than me, and smarter than me, but you’ll never be as handsome as me!”
Grandpa taught me more things than I can remember and was always willing to show me something new. Grandpa showed me how to act like a man and was always someone I looked up too. If everyone had a Grandfather like Grandpa Webb the world would be a different place. As I grew up I wasn’t a great Grandson and didn’t visit or call Grandpa as much as I should have, but he was always a Great Grandfather. I love you Grandpa and will miss you always.

We went to church Saturday evening. This month the series is movies and we get to watch a real movie and then Ed ties into some kind of lesson in church. It's really good and fun. Saturday was all about Christmas in July and the movie was Elf, which I don't like but it was good at church. Karlea on our way....she fell asleep before we got there.

This was the spider I saw today as I was cleaning up the back yard and putting away swimming stuff. It has to be on steroids...it's the biggest spider I have ever seen....it freaks me out every time I look at it!

The twins today as we received some much needed rain. We enjoyed our 3 miles today ALOT as it was much cooler. They played in the rain for a while and then they had a picnic in the garage as they watched the rain...we had a good day:)

FIRST, I WOULD LIKE TO WISH MY HUBBY A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. HE TURNS 31 TODAY. I LOVE YOU BABY:) We stayed at Grammy and Grampys for 3 nights and 4 days while they were in NY. We love staying there, its like a little mini vaca. for us with the pool and all! We were in the pool the entire weekend and the twinks loved it. Shel and her boys hung out with us all day one and the big boys had a blast as well.

Their most favorite thing to do: jump off the side!

This was Sunday when we got up and picked up the house and headed home, we had lunch at On the Border first.
