The twins, more presents added under the tree, our Christmas with Shane and Jess, swimg set, and food!

This was before we left for the day one day last week. Cutie Pies! I wrapped the last of my mom's presents that she still needed wrapped, I think we are done except for one, I ran out of paper. They wrap around the whole room.
Shane and Jess holding one of our Christmas presents that we gave them. They came over on Thursday night to watch the Colts play and we also had our Christmas with them. It was fun and we got alot of cute stuff. Baby Hadyn may be earlier than we expected...but all is good, she is over 4 pounds and looks perfect on all the sono's. I can't wait to meet her. I went out today and got her some preemie outfits, they are tiny, they look like they are for Karlea's baby doll. I got her some baby legs, these cute cute little shoes, and 2 bows! With the preemie outfits that Shane and Jess went and bought today along with what I bought she should be set for the first 3 months or so.

The twins FINALLY being able to play on their new swing set. Friday it was 60 something but tomorrow it's supposed to get down in the teens before the night is over!

This was the snacks I had for us Thursday night when Shane and Jess came over. Everyone said it was good, I wouldn't know I didn't eat!!
Klayton's last day of school was today for about 12 or so days. Grammy went to Klayton's Christmas Party today and then brought him home for me. Shel, Josh, and the boys came over after school so the kids could play on the swing set. We grilled hot dogs, hot links, and beef smoked sausage on the grill for dinner. Shel and I went walking and then she went through my closet for clothes because all of the ones she has are hanging off of her after her 23 pound weight loss the first month she was on her diet. And finally Nan-Nan and Uncle Mark took the kids to look at Christmas Lights, they are still gone, I'm hoping when they get back all the kids will be sleepy and want to go to bed because that's where I'm headed. I hope yall have a great weekend, I know I will....I will tell why later!!

My fun Christmas socks, Karlea in a Christmas outfit, Karson, and Rosy Cheeks!

I love my Christmas socks! My Aunt Annie (what the twins call her) bought me these over Thanksgiving. I got a ton of compliments on them today! The twins and I met Shel and Jameson, Jacob, Nanny(Josh's grandma), and Maw-Maw(Josh's mom) for lunch today at On The Border. Then we made a surprise visit to Grampy's and daddy's work. It's always nice to see daddy and Grampy during the day when normally we wouldn't! Then we stopped by Jessie's to say Hi for a minute! I guess I should have tried to find him a Christmas shirt. He has a red turtle neck but I wanted Karlea to wear it under her shirt so poor little Karson was left out on dressing Christmasy today! I just realized that we all had on something my Aunt Annie bought for us. Karson has on his camo MOOSHU'S shoes she bought for him!

Here is Miss Karlea in the outfit and the bow Aunt Annie bought for her!

Thanks Annie, we love it all!!

I took a picture of her last night because all of the sudden her cheeks were REALLY rosy and red but this picture doesn't show it very well!

More Christmas P.J.'s, Klayton and my new comfy slippers!

Klayton getting his homework!

My new slippers I got for half off! $15!!

Side view!

My kids say the darnest things (and even Ben) sometimes, Elvis, sitting on the toilet, and a ham sandwich!!

I thought I would update on Mr. Klayton since I seem not to talk about him that much on here nor do I have near as many pictures of him. First, he is so ready for Christmas break. He asks me every minute how many more days until Christmas break. He is constantly on his knees in front of the tree looking which presents have his name on them. He has a pretty busy and fun week this week so maybe it will go by fast for him. Sunday he had his end of football season party. Tuesday (today) his class gets a pizza party for lunch since they have all gotten A's on every single spelling test. Wednesday he finally gets the limo ride to McDonald's and back for lunch for selling so many fund raisers back in September. He is beside himself with this and can't wait! And then Friday is his Christmas Party at school at 130. He originally told me he wanted me to go to his Christmas Party but that has since changed. He informed me a couple days ago he wants Grammy to go so Grammy will be attending his Christmas Party with him. Grammy enjoys stuff like that better than me anyways, not that I don't like it but something about 16+ kids all in one room at a "party" eating sugar, sugar, sugar, and more sugar, and getting presents just isn't that "fun" to me but Grammy LOVES IT so they will be in good company with each other. Thanks Grammy! Klayton got his teacher several things for Christmas. He got her a t-shirt that says teacher and then the definition of teacher on it. He got her a wooden apple that has the time and date on it. He got her a bag that has something about teachers on it among a few other little things. They are all cute and in a really cute bag that he will take to her Friday as well. I also got these little Christmas bags and some little goodies that I am going to stuff in the bags that Klayton is going to take to school and give each kid in his class one for Christmas! I will take a picture of them when I get them done. Other than that, Klayton is doing good and just really ready for Christmas! Oh, I know what I wanted to say.....sometimes Klayton says the craziest stuff just out of the blue! He came home one day last week and said Mommy, is it true that if your hand is bigger than your face you have cancer?? I said NO and quit listening to every single thing kids at school say. The rest of the night every single time I looked at him he had his hand spread out on his face and if he would see me looking at him he would say, I think my hand is bigger than my face. then he came home last Friday and said that even though alot of people think that Elvis died of drugs....first of all ELVIS, why in the world would kids be talking about Elvis much less even know who he is. He continued to tell me that he really died sitting on the toilet....... I'm not too sure how Elvis died, but I don't think it was sitting on the toilet. He said he probably died of having to go to the bathroom too bad and pushing to hard ( a little graphic, but this is what he said) and that something in his heart must have popped!! WTH!!! I have no idea where he gets some of this stuff. To make this even worse, I pick up the phone to call Ben to tell him what Klayton said and I'm laughing so I can barely get it out and after I tell Ben what he said he laughs and said well he's half way right. And I said HOW? And he said well he was sitting on toilet but he died because he was eating in a ham sandwich and choked!! WHAT??!!! I had to make sure I was not dreaming and I was really hearing my 8 year old and my husband tell me such ridiculous stuff!!! First of all, who cares about ELVIS and how he died, second I have NEVER heard he was sitting on the toilet, and I have really never heard that he was pushing too hard and something in his heart popped or that he choked sitting on the toilet because he was eating a ham sandwich!!!!!!!! Leave it to Ben and Klayton to come up with this kind of stuff and actually believe it!! I go crazy sometimes because I just don't understand how a human being can actually say and think some of the stuff that my husband and 8 year old say and think. I mean I know I have done a few, out of the ordinary, some other people might say air headish, things (like the napkins, paper plates, paper cups, interview story/car flying into the lake) but at least if you hear any of my stories and really think about them I deep down had reasons for doing and saying the stuff I said but where in the world do you get that Elvis died sitting on the toilet pushing too hard and something in his heart popped or that he choked on a ham sandwich??? I just don't get it sometimes!! But hey that's what makes my husband my husband and my son my son!!
Then their is Karlea. Little MISS PRISS Karlea! She has this thing that all of the sudden you will hear her saying EXCUSE me, EXCUSE me, and if you don't address her immediately, she gets louder with her EXCUSE me and one day she was doing this at a practice of Klayton's. Her and I had just got out of our car and was sitting in our chair watching Klayton practice and she was looking back towards our car and she started her EXCUSE ME, EXCUSE me, and I was talking to someone so I was ignoring her but she just got louder and louder repeating it over and over with her hand up in the air and finally I said what do you want and why are you saying that at which time she pointed over to where we parked and to these people that had parked right beside us and they were standing in between our car and theirs but closer to ours and Karlea said that's MY CAR!!! What?? She wanted the people know that even though they were standing close to our car that was HER car!! Where in the world does she get this stuff from. She does this EXCUSE me thing from time to time. Then she sleeps with NanNan almost every night. And usually when she wakes up she just jumps off the bed and heads down stairs, this morning she wakes up and my mom is in her bathroom doing her hair for work and she hear HELLO, HELLO, she kept drying her hair and hears HELLO, HELLO again. She walked in her room and Karlea is standing on her bed with her arms raised saying HELLO, HELLO!! That little girl! She is a mess!!
Then their is Karson!! It's not really so much things he says but how he says things. If he is looking at a picture of Klayton and he says what I guess is how the name KLAYTON comes out of his mouth but it sounds like Nugget Hawmon. He says it all the time too, its too funny. He used to call Grampy DEBOW, which is how we heard when he said Grandpa, and he still calls me MOMANY! What and who is MOMANY and where in the world did he get that from?? I've learned I'm Momany, Klayton is Nugget Hawman, Karlea is Giwl (he is trying to say Girl) most of the time, and if he is looking at a picture of himself he points to himself and says Bubba. Funny, funny boy!! Just thought I would share with you what I hear on a daily basis from my sMaRt and talented family members!!

It just keep growing and growing and growing...

the number of presents under the tree that is!

Early Christmas Present

Grammy and Grampy gave the kids an early Christmas Present this past weekend because Grampy, Ben, Josh, Richie, and Shane Cameron, oh I can't forget Rachel helped put it up ALL day Saturday and half a day on Sunday! We are so proud of it and the kids LOVE IT! Too bad it's been to cold to play on it. They did get about an hour of play time on it Sunday night when it was 75 degrees out, a couple hours later it was 30's outside and has only gone down from there. Picture of the whole thing in daylight.

The other side of it. Karson has already fell on the rock wall two or three times. Practice ( and a few bumps and bruises )makes perfect though, right? And you can see the cute little picnic table. The kids will love that in the summer time, they will eat every meal outside!

The cute little shutters!

Where the sand box will be in the summer.

The cute little direction thing on top!

Night view the day it was completed. Thanks to everyone that helped put it together. And a very SPECIAL THANKS to Grammy and Grampy! I don't know what we would do without yall. The kids and Ben and I appreciate every single thing you do for us! We love you!

Christmas P.J.'s

I know Karlea's hair is horrible but she just woke up! I forgot I ordered these Christmas P.J.'s. I saw them in the top of the twins closet last night. They are really cute, they have snowmen all over them so really they can wear them through out the whole winter not just Christmas Time.

Christmas Party

Going to a casual Christmas Party tonight! Maybe we will win some cool door prizes! I guess I should have wore some red for Christmas, huh?

RIDICULOUS!!

Texas Tech's Graham Harrell misses out on Heisman nod
07:59 AM CST on Thursday, December 11, 2008
By KATE HAIROPOULOS / The Dallas Morning News khairopoulos@dallasnews.com
ORLANDO, Fla. – Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford will represent the Big 12 as Heisman Trophy finalists at Saturday night's announcement in New York, along with Tim Tebow, the Florida quarterback and 2007 Heisman winner.
Nobody needed tarot cards to see that coming.
But Wednesday's announcement surprised some because it didn't include Texas Tech senior quarterback Graham Harrell of Ennis.
Harrell passed for more yards than any of the finalists and led the Red Raiders to an 11-1 season.
Harrell is in Orlando for tonight's The Home Depot/ESPNU College Football Awards and learned the news after meeting with reporters and a hallway chit-chat with McCoy, standing a few feet from Tebow.
"We had a special season," said Harrell, the surgically repaired fingers on his left (non-throwing) hand taped together. "That's what we focused on. ... We won as many games as anyone. ... If we don't get picked, that's the way it goes."
Harrell's coach, Mike Leach, didn't react as calmly.
"If Graham is not invited to the Heisman, they ought to quit giving out the award," he said in a statement. "It is a shameless example of politics ruling over performance."
Harrell said he hoped Tech's progress this season would help Red Raiders earn honors in the future.
"Programs' reputations have a lot to do with that," he said. "Texas Tech has never been a big-name program. Hopefully this year, winning as many big games as we have, Texas Tech can build on that."
The Heisman doesn't use hard science to determine how many invitations it extends to New York. It has invited as few as three and as many as six.
This is the first season since 2001 that all the Heisman finalists are quarterbacks. Bradford and Tebow will meet for the BCS championship Jan. 8 in Miami.
McCoy said if he wins the Heisman, his teammates plan on celebrating the honor. The junior said if he had a vote – as Tebow does as a former Heisman winner – he would vote for Tebow because he admires his leadership style.
Bradford, wearing a large, OU crimson cast on his left hand after surgery Sunday to repair a thumb ligament, took it all in stride.
"I'm going to have as much fun as I can on this trip," the sophomore said. "There's nothing I can do now that's going to change the way it comes out."

And there GONE!

It seems like just as quick as my brother and his friends got here last night and ate like they haven't in months, they are off to Germany! From left to right is my brother, Thomas, and Matt! Both boys were very nice. Matt's family live in Germany and have been there the last 4 years I think he said. His dad is in the military and is actually in Iraq right now. Matt invited some of his friends home with him for the holidays. Shane will be back home around Dec. 22 or 23, just in time for Christmas with us! It was fun having the boys here last night. Please pray they have a safe trip to Germany and back!

Alot of pics, Christmas program, Mayfields, and Klayton!

This post has alot of pics so get ready! We went to Klayton's Christmas Program last night at school. I took a picture of this sign that was on the wall, Klayton's name is at the bottom. Of all the second graders (boys and girls and 3 rooms) Klayton got 13th in the mile and ran it in 5 minutes and 13 seconds. I thought that was VERY good! And now on to the Christmas Program! It was great! Klayton was one of the few that were in the front playing an instrument. His class sang Zumba Zumba in Spanish and English! They all did a very good job!

And for the twins...they were NOT very good to say the least! But I guess it was partly my fault. The only nap they took was when we went for my 3 mile walk, which means it was less than 45 minutes because they always wake up when we get home and never went back to sleep. Karson was so bad Ben eventually had to take him to the car where I thought for sure he would fall asleep but Ben said after having to listen to Rehab (sitting at bar on the inside) his favorite song over about 50 times he did finally get tired of that and just screamed on top of his lungs the rest of the time! Karlea whined long enough for Ben that she finally fell asleep in my moms lap through the whole program!
This is Jack, Shel's oldest, in his new cute little pea coat!

And this is Mr. Jameson (Jacob clone) in his new snugly warm blanket/outfit that Shel bought for him. He looks so peaceful and warm! He is such a good baby!

This is the twins 2 years ago about this time. How time passes so quickly. I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year, I think this is the first year they will really be into it and excited the way Klayton is.
The is a picture of a picture. I really like it but I just wish my hair looked better and I'm not sure why Ben and I look so dark because we are not! I'm not tanning. I guess its because its a picture of a picture. But I love that we finally took a pic with us all in our Cowboy stuff!

And last but certainly NOT least! Klayton's team won their Superbowl last weekend. This is him getting his trophy afterwards. He was so excited! Now on to Basketball!!

Klayton has a Christmas show at school tonight. His class sings a Christmas song in English and Spanish. He can't remember the name of the song, I will let ya know tomorrow what it was! This is us before we left! I just love all the sweaters on the kids. It's pretty cold right now, I think 30 something. Hope everyone has a good night!

Christmas Tree is complete, homemade ornaments made, sleep over, new jammies, and Christmas cards DONE!!

For the most part, I am done with everything that has needed to be done! I'm not very happy with how the bows turned out for the wreath and the top of the tree but that was my fault, I should have got ribbon that had wire in it, but I like them and they will work for this year! This is the topper for the tree! We will have to make new ones next year with the right type ribbon but I think it looks fine for now!
Mine and my moms homemade Dallas Cowboys Christmas ornaments. I think these turned out really cute!!

Klayton, Lexi (cousin), and the twins Saturday night having a little sleep over! Yes, that is our bedroom floor!

The lighted garland going up the stairs!

Our tree and stockings and all the presents!

Karlea in her NEW DORA CHRISTMAS GOWN that she loves and looks even more like Cindy Lou Who!
New comfy jammies! I want some like Karlea's!

The twins actually playing and getting along! I had to take a picture of it!!

I'm really excited for Christmas! I love the look on the kids face when they walk in the room and they see what Santa has left them! I love GIVING gifts to people and watching how much they like them! SERIOUSLY, I could careless if I got one present at Christmas time, I love shopping and giving gifts more than anything in the world!! I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!
